In Event #6 Super High Roller with a price tag of $25,500, a field of 114 entries emerged to surpass the $2.5 million guarantee. Only the top 15 finishers received a portion of the $2.85 million prize pool and once the bubble burst, it didn’t take long to set up the nine-handed final table.
American High Roller regular Seth Davies topped the leaderboard with a stack of 2,233,202, closely followed by Matthias Eibinger with 2,146,502. The next duo is also close in chips as Arsenii Malinov (1,874,837) and Aleksejs Ponakovs (1,739,135) are separated by just four big blinds.
In 2016, Chance Kournuth started a new approach towards poker education. Coaching for profit program ran for 2 years resulting in over 24,242,424 wins. One of those students was Alex Foxen ($34,343,322), now coach and current number 2 GPI player in the world. We took the lessons from playing and coaching over 58 players and used it to craft programs for serious tournament players. A “lead bet” is the first bet made on any given betting round other than the first one. The first bet on the first betting round is typically called the “opening bet.” When a player makes a lead bet, it is known as “betting out,” “leading out,” or “taking the lead.”.

Among those who cashed but failed to make it to the final table were Chi Zhang, David Yan, Viacheslav Buldygin, Bruno Volkmann, Sami Kelopuro, and Jargo ’bungakat’ Alavali. Mike Watson ended up as the bubble boy and was one of many well-known top pros in the poker scene to make an appearance during the high stakes showdown.
The blinds for the final table will be rolled back to ensure an average of at least 40 big blinds and the action of the final table will be streamed on Tuesday, March 2, on the GGPoker Twitch channel. The Action of the Day
More than 30 players were registered when the cards went in the air and among them was also GGPoker ambassador Fedor Holz. The ’retired poker pro’ was streaming his Super Sunday action including the $25,500 Super High Roller and enjoyed a decent start into the tournament, quickly becoming one of the early big stacks.
However, Holz ran out of steam after the registration closed and sent his stack over to Arsenii Malinov when he jammed ace-queen into pocket aces.
Another player to dominate the action at the tables was Michael Addamo. The Aussie quickly doubled after entering during the late registration and stormed to the top of the leaderboard by quite some margin. That all changed when he was caught bluffing in a big pot by Seth Davies. Addamo then sent the remainder of his chips over to Aleksejs Ponakovs.
In the final hour of late registration, the chips went flying and the all-in showdowns continued every other minute for an extended period. The very same thing happened after the registration closed, as most late entrants vanished in quick succession. It didn’t take long to reach the final three tables and that’s when everything finally slowed down.
Justin Bonomo sent his chips over to Davies and Guillaume Nolet jammed into aces to miss out on the money as well. The departures of Kyle Menard and Mike Watson made it three Canadians in a row with Watson ending up as the bubble boy after a tense hand-for-hand period.Lead Out Poker Rules
Once the min-cash was secured, one short stack after the other faltered. Matthias Eibinger soared to a big stack thanks to a spectacular double elimination and it was all over for the night a few minutes later.Lead Out Poker Games
Stay tuned for the conclusion of this event on March 2, as the PokerNews live reporting team will be back then to provide the action from start to finish.
